Tech in PE Day

On Friday, 17th August 2012, ACHPER (SA) held their very first Tech in PE Day for secondary teachers at Etsa Park Netball Stadium. We were delighted to offer this new and dynamic event, which booked out in only a few days. This is certainly a growing area in schools currently and ACHPER will continue to offer this topic at future professional learning opportunities, including the Secondary Conference on the 3rd and 4th December. Each delegate receieved a free $20 iTunes gift card as a part of their registration to the seminar which certainly assisted the scope of learning offered at the seminar.

An innovative ICT session for secondary teachers presented by the "PE Geek", Jarrod Robinson, which focussed on the use of Apps through iPads, iPhones, and iTouches. Delegates learnt how to use and implement these tools (such as assessment apps) in the classroom through a practical session to enhance learning in their PE lessons.

Due to the overwhelming demand for this event, ACHPER (SA) offered a repeat of this session on the 23rd November, this event also booked out quickly.
