Want interactive ideas for physical activity and healthy eating in early childhood settings, home environment and the community?

ACHPER (SA) coordinated a number of Regional Seminars, funded by SA Health that promoted the recently released 0-5 year old National Physical Activity Recommendations. This seminar focused on sharing ideas of best practice and offered practical ideas to support educators, health professionals, parents and those who work with children in this age group. The highlight of the seminar was Keynote Speaker Jo Salmon, Deakin University, read her bio below, also listed is the three regions ACHPER (SA) held the seminars.

Guest Speaker: Jo Salmon, Deakin University
BIO:

Professor Jo Salmon is a Principal Research Fellow at the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research, Deakin University, Melbourne. An expert in the field of physical activity among young children and families, she was co-author of the National Physical Activity Recommendations for 0-5 year olds in Australia. Her research interests are in assessing the effectiveness of interventions to reduce child ren's sedentary behaviours and promote physical activity.
