The Project

The eat well be active - Primary Schools project is funded by SA Health and co-managed with the Department for Education and Child Development (DECD) aiming to build the capacity of schools.

The eat well be active - Primary Schools project has given schools an opportunity to work with ACHPER (SA) since 2009 until December 2013 to build and promote sustainable curriculum outcomes and to provide supportive environments for healthy eating and physical activity.

ACHPER (SA) has been contracted as a Service Provider by SA Health since Term 2 2009, and is currently working with 116 schools. As we come to the end of the Project, ACHPER (SA) staff have been working with School's to celebrate achievements, finalise plans and explore sustainability options beyond the life of the project.

Aims

The eat well be active - Primary Schools Project aims to build capacity of schools to provide supportive environments for healthy eating and physical activity.
