Alliances

ACHPER (SA) works strategically to ensure our association has crucial partners and alliances with related organisations. The Government of South Australia provide crucial funding for ACHPER activities through the Office for Recreation & Sport (ORS), Department of Education and Children's Services (DECS) and the Department of Health. ACHPER is in a fortunate position receiving funding from cross government agencies, which outlines ACHPER's relevance across Education, Recreation and Sport and Health fields. ACHPER has formal agreements with each of these Government Departments and the Office for Recreation and Sport recently (August 2007) agreed to terms for a 3 year extension of funding.

ACHPER (SA) has a close partnership with ACHPER National to ensure efficiency and quality service to members. The National body plays various important roles including national partnerships, service to members (membership), national publications and trading (Healthy Lifestyles Bookshop).

ACHPER (SA) has excellent partnerships with the National Heart Foundation, Life Be In it, the Council of Education Associations of SA (CEASA), tertiary and vocational educational institutions, and a range of community based agencies. Credit Union SA, Mount Lofty Spring Water and IDM Sports are important supporters of ACHPER.
